The world’s best-selling apex locator, Root ZX has reached the pinnacle of accuracy and patient safety. Invented in 1992, it was the first device capable of working in wet sewers. Its display is large and very easy to read. The measurement bar on the screen corresponds exactly to the tactile sensation when the needle is inserted into the channel.

Dispaly colour gen

The DentaPort Root ZX excels with its large colour LCD screen and clear layout – with clear measuring bars and high contrast. With these, the exact position of the needle inside the channel can be determined.


Audible signals for better safety

When the needle reaches the apex or is very close to it, an audible signal is emitted to facilitate the doctor’s movement within the canal.


No resetting to “zero” – ready for immediate use

It is not necessary to return to “zero” for measuring another channel.

Endo module with OTR function

As an optional upgrade, you can purchase the endo module with OTR function.

It slides very easily into the back of the locator apex. In addition to the features of the endo module above, it includes the OTR (Optimum Torque Reverse) function – the part performs a reciprocal movement – when the set torque level is exceeded, the needle moves 180 degrees forward and 90 degrees back.

If you are certain that your equipment falls within the warranty conditions and period:

1. You can send it with a description of the defect to:
DENTAL EQUIPMENT STORE S.R.L., Str. Aries, No. 3, Timișoara, to the attention of the Warranty/Service department, via the Fan Courier courier.
You can call DENTEQUIP on the telephone numbers 0770 713 820/0772 047 330/0725 724 858 and request the collection of the package from your address, the cost of transport being borne by DENTAL EQUPMENT STORE S.R.L, mentioning that it is an equipment for which you are requesting a guarantee.
To avoid possible problems regarding compensation for parcels damaged during transport, we recommend insuring the parcels at the value of the purchase invoice. Please pack the equipment properly.

2. You can hand it in personally to the Service/Warranties Department, from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.,
You can check whether or not the product is covered by the warranty and benefits from shipping support, through the contact form or at [email protected].

ATTENTION: If the warranty request is unjustified (functional product), the applicant will pay the round-trip shipping charges for the products and any diagnostic costs (determined by the Service/Warranty Department).

Return of Products


  • The products do not conform to the specifications on the website. In the event that the buyer, at the time of receiving the parcel, considers that the product received does not comply with the specifications on the website, he contacts the Seller in order to clarify the issues raised, since, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the website, the description of the products may be incomplete for reasons related to of space and/or information structure. If there is a clear non-conformity with the specifications provided on the website, the Buyer is obliged to report the non-conformity within a maximum of 24 hours, he can opt for the replacement with another product or for the full refund of the amount paid.
  • The products were delivered in error by the Seller. In case of delivery of a different product or in a different quantity, you must report the incident to the Seller within a maximum of 24 hours to resolve the incident. If the product is no longer in stock, the Buyer can opt for replacement with another product or for full reimbursement of the consideration.
  • The products prove to be non-functional within the first 48 hours of their receipt (two working days). The buyer can complain about this within a maximum of 48 hours from the date of receipt and can request the return of the product in order to replace it with a new product. If the product is no longer in stock, the Buyer can opt for a replacement with another product or for a full refund.

Returns of unsealed consumable products are not accepted. Regardless of the situation, the product return procedure involves notifying the Seller before sending the product, through a message describing the reason for the return, sent to the e-mail address [email protected]

When sending the package, the Buyer can use the following return label model: Model form.

The products must be returned in the condition in which they were received, accompanied by all the accessories and documents received when the products were delivered. The return will be refused if the products are damaged or if the Seller finds them to be unsaleable. The products will be returned via the courier service agreed by the Seller, to the address of the work point in Timisoara, Str. Aries No. 3, demisol

The buyer can opt for a full refund or replacement with another product.

If the replacement with a more expensive product is agreed, the Buyer will pay the price difference, respectively if the value of the replacement product will be lower, he will receive the corresponding partial refund.

All return and shipping costs will be borne by the Seller.
